Transforming Complexity into Simplicity

At CTOS, our mission is to empower people and organizations to solve complex problems through our simple, easy-to-apply CTOS framework.

The 5-Stage CTOS Framework

Stage 1:

Clarifying & Storytelling

Stage 2:

Simplifying & Structuring

Stage 3:

Quantifying & Colouring

Stage 4: Connecting & Prioritising

Stage 5:

Directing Action & Closing the Loop

Complex problem solving doesn’t need to be overwhelming. It can be simple, and more importantly — fun! That is, if you use the 5-Stage CTOS Framework. Follow along with the CTOS Squad of problem solvers to come up with solutions to the complex problems in your life and work.

Whenever you’re unsure where to begin, follow the 5 CTOS stages by: clarifying your objective, putting in place the storyline anchors, and then structuring your problem into three levels of boxes — system, components, and required elements. From there, bring in some detail (as much as you’re comfortable with), and then colour — bright colour! Prioritise what to focus on and then translate that into action. That’s all you need to do. It really is that simple.

Let's look at the CTOS guiding principles for solving complex problems in each of the 5-stages:
